Infuriated at work?…what to do about it

There are always those situations at work where you are painfully aware that something is just off and wrong.

Possibly something or someone has created for you annoying frustration.

So first you try ignoring it, but as we all know it rarely goes away on its own. It’s like having weeds growing rampant in your yard.

You can mow the weeds, but they never totally go away that way and they return with a vengeance. ‘Mowing’ also makes a really big noise, calling attention to the person mowing. In other words, it may put you in an awkward place within the organization with some long term side effects

Pulling weeds one at a time is a labor intense endeavor, an endless fight. As soon as you address one, another off-shoot materializes; short term fix AND a distraction. Working this way is exhausting.

Having a smart approach in place to get rid of the weeds is a best answer; same with the agitating stuff that is causing relentless grief at work.

By practicing some steps you can gain some peace of mind by taking care of yourself and relieving the toxic effect of the workplace weeds.

There will always be a threat of these debacles; there will always be weeds. It’s just the human factor. Having a plan for when there is unrest, concern…
